How to use the Library though the website

First you want to visit this website to get into the E library Library - Oxford Brookes University

once you have loaded onto the website you should be greeted by a page that looks like this.

The self check out is used if you want to borrow a book all you will have to do is scan the barcode then scan your student id to borrow the book for a period of time.

Make use of Your subject librarian to help with finding resources for your studies

The subject librarian specialises in certain subject such as business or sport. They are there to help you find and use resources   such as books and computers. Their job is to make sure you have a smooth and good experience with the library.

During your time in the library you may come across one of these signs. These are here to tell you what noise level your supposed to be at for example this yellow traffic light symbolises that you must keep this section of the library slightly quiet and make sure your mobile phones are on silent. The red colour shows that this is a quiet study room where no talking is allowed. Then you have green which is where your allowed to talk and chill out and make good use of group work.

      Study centres

These are used for group work which are mainly
found in a green light zone which your allowed to talk in.

An easy way to find books would be  to look at the end of the shelve where you can find the class number rage of books. If you go online and look up a certain topic and see a book you like you can simply find its class number. once you find the number from the online library you can either download the book onto your device or track it down at the library or even reserve it by pressing the hold button

My personal experience with the library and how I overcame it

During my time at the library I struggled on how to borrow books and to over come this I went to the front office and asked the subject librarian how to borrow books and she told me that I needed my student Id and the book and just simply scan them using the self check out machine
